Marjorie Mabel Paddleford, 92, of Oneonta, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at AO Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta.

She was born on December 15, 1924 in Worcester the daughter of Howard E. and Rhea R. Boyd. She married George Paddleford on March 25, 1944. He predeceased her on February 14, 1996.

Marjorie was known for her sense of humor and unconditional love of everyone. She was a big Elvis fan. An animal lover, she especially enjoyed parakeets and canaries. She was a regular at Stewart's for coffee and scratch...

Marjorie Mabel Paddleford, 92, of Oneonta, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at AO Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta.

She was born on December 15, 1924 in Worcester the daughter of Howard E. and Rhea R. Boyd. She married George Paddleford on March 25, 1944. He predeceased her on February 14, 1996.

Marjorie was known for her sense of humor and unconditional love of everyone. She was a big Elvis fan. An animal lover, she especially enjoyed parakeets and canaries. She was a regular at Stewart's for coffee and scratch off tickets. She enjoyed playing all types of games and was a New York Yankees and NASCAR fan. She kept African violets for many years.

Marjorie is survived by her son and daughter in law, Stanley E. and Molly Paddleford of Oneonta; grandchildren, Jeanne Anderson of Milford, Scott and Shelly Smith of Albany, Lance Monroe of Oneonta, Alicia and Jamie Ray of Saquoit, and Laurie and Travis Filmer of Clearmont, Fla; great grandchildren, Kyle Paddleford, Brett Decker, Alexander Ray, Logan Ray, Aspen Ray, Isabelle Shaver, Aidan Shaver; a great great granddaughter, Lauren Decker; brother Louie and Jane Trask of Mt. Vision; a sister in law, Roberta Trask; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by siblings, Stanley and Ruth Trask, Joseph Trask, and Mary and Robert Barnes.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2-3pm at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, where a memorial service will take place immediately following at 3 pm.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
